Install of an Airwave Vari-speed 22kw package for Unicut precision in Welwyn Garden City.
This variable speed compressor was chosen for its energy saving capabilities. The oil-cooled permenant magnet motor is driven by an VSD inverter, which makes this a very energy efficient compressor.
Due to the varying demands of air throughout the day, having a variable speed compressor will save the customer a lot on electricity costs, as it will match the speed of the motor to the air consumption perfectly.
This package was installed with a 500l receiver, refrigerated air dryer with full filtrations and oil-water separator.
The air is then distributed around the factory using the Prevost Aluminium Pipe System at high level, with 25mm drops to the bar feeder and CNC machines, which terminate in the Prevost quick release saftey couplings.
